Rev. Shawn Barnett accepted the call to be Redeemer’s Associate Pastor in 2024. He studied at Concordia University Chicago, earning a B.A. in theological languages. Additionally, he studied for one year at the Lutherische Theologische Hochschule in Oberursel, Germany. He also obtained a Master of Arts in Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, as well as a Master of Divinity at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne.  Previously, Rev. Barnett served as a schoolteacher at Immanuel Lutheran School, Alexandria, Virginia. He and his wife Molly have been blessed with three young children.
