Life in the Church is lived not only in worship but also in the fellowship of believers who encourage one another in faith and service. At Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, the Sisters of Mary and Martha gathering provides a wonderful opportunity for women of the congregation to come together for thoughtful conversation, Christian encouragement, and shared reflection on the life of faith. The next meeting of the Sisters of Mary and Martha will take place on Friday, March 13th, at 3:15 p.m. in the Luther Room. This group continues to grow as a place where women can gather in a spirit of hospitality and thoughtful discussion, drawing inspiration from the biblical example of Mary and Martha in Luke’s Gospel, two sisters whose lives illustrate the balance of listening to Christ’s Word and serving faithfully in daily life.

These meetings typically include reflection on Scripture, conversation about the Christian life, and encouragement for one another as sisters in Christ.
