Along the lines of leadership, you need to convey to the council chairman, and demonstrate in your own reports, that there is nothing wrong with … no report. For example, no one is served at a council meeting by a report from the Sunday School that Sunday School was held last week, the pastor opened with prayer, the children heard about Jesus, and had a snack. We all know that already or don’t care. If there is nothing new, are no problems or future plans that require council actions or input, let the Sunday School say: no report. Encourage it. Inefficient meetings kill volunteers by wasting their time.
