This week at Redeemer

If you would like to donate for Christmas flowers or music, please contact the church office. Donations can be of any size. Donations received by this Thursday will be included in the Christmas bulletins.

The Christmas Pageant is next Sunday at noon in the undercroft.

Redeemer Classical School is hosting a Family Folk Dance on Friday the 20th 6:30-8:00pm. All are welcome, no experience needed!

We are collecting paper goods for the Seminary food bank during the month of December. Please add some toilet paper or facial tissues to your shopping cart this month and place it in the box in the entryway.  If you have other non-perishable food items, toiletries, diapers, or cleaning products we will also accept those as part of this collection.

The last Advent supper is this Thursday. We have received a Thrivent grant to provide food for the supper, and Rachel Pollock will be serving sloppy joes. Following the service we will decorate the church for Christmas. Please join us for this fun evening as we prepare our church for Christmas.

The Drink ‘n Think discussion group will conclude its series of Hillsdale College lectures on C.S. Lewis on December 16 and 30, both at 6:30. You can catch up on the previous discussions at online.hillsdale.edu for free, but previous listening or attendance aren’t required to enjoy the discussion, or the drinks.

Don’t forget the 1-1-1 offering! Each Sunday each baptized member is asked to bring $1 for missions. This is going to support the five Nigerian pastors who are studying at the seminary this year.

There is a workday at 8:30 this Saturday morning. The Saturday morning service will be held at noon. Stay and help get the church ready for Christmas while the kids practice for the pageant!

Christian Wisdom: Parable, Kleinig, and the Catechism. This ten week course taught by Pastor Petersen will cover 10 of Jesus’ parables, the Small Catechism, and work through John Kleinig’s book Grace upon Grace. The class is taught at roughly the community college level and students are required to read and prepare outside of class. All materials are provided free of charge. For those who desire it, the class may result in adult confirmation and membership at Redeemer. Call the Church office or e-mail Jane to register. First class is Wednesday, January 8, 2020.

The Seniors group will not have an activity in December, but we look forward to meeting again on January 15.
