FORT WAYNE, Ind. (CTSFW)—Future pastors and deaconesses, and their families, are eagerly looking forward to the spring assignment services at Concordia Theological Seminary (CTSFW), Fort Wayne, Indiana, on April 24 and 25. Those who cannot join us on campus can watch via the live stream atwww.ctsfw.edu or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ctsfw.
The Vicarage and Deaconess Internship Assignment service will be Monday, April 24, at 7:00 p.m. (EDT), in Kramer Chapel. The Rev. Nabil S. Nour, third vice-president of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), will serve as preacher for the service.
The Candidate Call service takes place the following evening, Tuesday, April 25, at 7:00 p.m. (EDT), in Kramer Chapel. The preacher for the service will be the Rev. Timothy J. Scharr, president of the LCMS Southern Illinois District.
“As I think of all those who will be placed this year, I understand more fully how God continues to give blessing upon blessing to His Church,” commented theRev. Prof. Jeffrey H. Pulse, director of Certification and Placement at CTSFW. “These men and women have benefitted from excellent instruction and shepherding from our Seminary faculty and pastors of the LCMS, all this working together to prepare faithful servants who will serve God’s people wherever they are needed.”
And that need continues to grow. “While we will once again be short over 70 workers for the harvest field, we trust the Lord to provide as He uses all of us to encourage, equip and send,” said Pulse.
