Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the 2017 Redeemer Conference a success!
We hosted over 70 clergy and laity hailing from here in Ft. Wayne, around the country, and the world. We listened to Pr. Todd Wilken speak about the Reformation and the Lutheran Confessions. We also heard from our own Rev. Dr. Benjamin Mayes present Luther’s view of Marriage Ethics, after which he (Dr. Mayes) treated all in attendance to a Gregorian Solemn Vespers Service
Be sure to check out Dr. Mayes’ essay in the new CPH book From Taboo to Delight: Ethics of Sex edited by and contributed to by Redeemer Sunday School superintendent Dr. Gifford Grobien. Dr. Mayes was also featured on Issues Etc addressing the topic of “Sexual Temptation” this past week. For more information on Gregorian chant in the daily prayer offices and the Divine Service, check out the Lutheran Liturgical Prayer Brotherhood
Thank you so much to Rag’n Cajun for providing lunch! Thanks to Brenda and Jerry Frese who served supper for us.
Many thanks to the numerous people who served behind the scenes to make our guests feel welcome and comfortable.
