Redeemer Conference 2017

On Monday, January 16, 2017, members, guests, friends, and colleagues gather at Redeemer Lutheran Church for worship, theology, and comradery.

We had about 90 people last year.

We offer this event free of charge! If you want to drop us a note that you’re coming, great! If you want to play it by ear and show up if whim strikes and weather allows, fabulous! The only expense we ask you to cover is a $5 free-will donation for a scrumptious lunch prepared by the Ragin’ Cajun, John Maxwell.

This year, the Rev. Todd Wilken of the Lutheran radio show, Issues etc, will be our Session leader. He will speak on the topic: Reformation 500 years later.

Here is the schedule this year:
8:00 a.m. Matins
8:30 a.m. Coffee/gathering time
9:00 a.m. Divine Service
10:00 a.m. Coffee and Donuts
10:25 a.m. Conference welcome
10:30-11:45 Session 1
11:45-12:00 Questions for Speaker
12:00-1:30 p.m. Lunch ($5.00 per person)
1:30-2:15 p.m. Session 2
2:30-3:30 p.m. Presentation on Solemn Vespers
3:30-3:45 p.m. Explanation of Gregorian Vespers from the Brotherhood Prayer Book
4:00-4:45 p.m. Vespers
5:00-8:00 p.m. Gemütlichkeit and Supper in Undercroft (free will offering)

We hope to see all of the usual suspects again this year. We also hope others come to join the festivities. Don’t worry if you have to show up late, just come. (Even if you are committed to the other conferences happening that day, or working, come down for Vespers and Gemütlichkeit).
